Active Shooter Survival
Active shooters are the people you hear about on the news who kill or attempt to kill people at random in a small, confined, and highly populated area like a nightclub, school, or work office. Some of the memorable active shooter events include: Sandy Hook, Columbine, Virginia Tech, Orlando, and San Bernardino. If you were to suddenly be involved in an active shooter situation, it would be difficult to know how to respond in the possible chaos. To help citizens be prepared for active shooter situations, the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office has developed a presentation around the concept of “Run, Hide, Fight”.
If you are interested in hosting this presentation at your work or facility, please contact Major Wendell Cofer at 229-400-8002 or wcofer@decaturso.com.
